Each year there are more than
cases of reported child abuse and neglect in Canada. Child abuse is when a parent or caregiver, whether through action or failing to act, causes injury, death, emotional harm or risk of serious harm to a child.

For a child to disclose a story of abuse takes more courage than many of us can ever imagine. That disclosure is just the beginning of a long and complicated journey to recovery and ultimately wellness.
