Investment Industry of Kelowna
Talk about rallying around a good cause! Last fall, Erica Whiteley, Branch Manager with Raymond James Ltd., organized the first ever Investment Industry Charity Ping Pong Tournament in support of the CAC. Investment advisors from firms across the city came together to grab a paddle and put the fun back in fundraiser! Thank you to Erica, and to all the players and spectators who came for an exciting evening of table tennis!

Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise
When we first met with the Sunrise Rotary Club to discuss the Season of Giving Calendar, we knew they were on to something special. Brining a whole new fundraising idea to this community, who wouldn’t want to be part of it? The passion of the Sunrise Rotary Club combined with the excitement and generosity of this community made for a truly impactful first year of the Calendar. Thank You Sunrise Rotary for having the CAC be part of this inaugural year and for everyone who helped the Calendar sell out.

Rotary Club of Kelowna Ogopogo
After three years, the Fancy Pants Golf Tournament has become both a much-anticipated event for us and a meaningfully impactful fundraiser that brings new resources and new people to the CAC. It has made a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and has been a vital in person venue for the CAC to spread awareness of our work. Not to mention, the funds raised by the tournament in 2021 grew 100% from the year before! Thank you to the Ogopogo Rotary and all the members we have had the pleasure of working with.

Sun City Physiotherapy
Each year, Sun City Physiotherapy organizes a day of giving from all their service providers. In 2021 they chose the CAC to be the charity of choice for their giving celebration. When they reached out to us, we were over the moon. Thank you, Sun City, for your dedication to making our, in all aspects, a healthier community.

Hymers Private Wealth
Rhonda Hymers and her team at Hymers Private Wealth, have been so incredibly supportive of the CAC. Whether through their expertise or their generosity they are always there for us. In 2021 Rhonda was the first person we approached about putting together a matching gift for Who’s on Your List? She basically agreed before we finished asking. That is the kind of commitment an organization like ours needs to thrive! Thank you, Rhonda.

Jaide Fox Paintings
Art is a crucial and intentional part of the CAC. Since the design phase, the art we select has informed much of the feel of the Centre. When we needed art for our virtual counselling spaces, we saw Jaide’s work and reached out to her. The results of that? Two thoughtful and inspiring pieces of art which help the kiddos we see online connect to the Centre and bring beauty into our world.

Boyd Autobody and Glass
Over the last five years, Boyd has been one of our most dedicated and committed supporters. In 2021, despite the cancelation of their annual car show, they were committed to helping the Centre and helping us run the car raffle. The raffle was a huge success and empowered the CAC as we saw tremendous growth in the number of children coming to us for kind, compassionate care. Thank you, Boyd, for your huge impact.

Intact Financial Corportation
In 2021, Intact Financial returned to the Centre and renewed their support for our work with our community’s most vulnerable children. We are so appreciative to have the support of a nation-wide group like Intact who understand the meaningful impact they can help us have on our community. Thank you!

Unhinged Boutique
Thank you, Jennifer. For years now, Jennifer and Unhinged Boutique have been quietly bringing comfort to vulnerable children during some of their scariest times. Through a special program, they have been providing the children we work with the softest blankets you can imagine. When a child is being asked to be so brave, having something new and soft to cuddle can help them muster the courage they need.

Jillian Harris
It all happened so fast! One day, our Executive Director was introducing herself to Jillian through Instagram and, before we knew it, team Jillian was touring the CAC, engaged in our work and full of questions. Jillian followed up with a very generous donation and has been a big part of raising awareness around child abuse and neglect in our community and beyond.

PACE Spin Studio
The amazing folks at Pace Spin Studio refused to let COVID 19 ruin their first birthday celebration. So, they moved all their bikes to the parking lot and called on their SPIN community to come out and support the CAC. And support us they did! Over $6,000 were raised through this unique and inspiring event. Thank you, Pace Spin Studio!

Vivid Tours
Often, the children who come to us don’t come with much. When you are in a new place, talking about difficult things, having something warm and soft to hold can make all the difference. Vivid Wine Tours wanted to make sure that difference was made so they reached out to us to ask what we needed to make ever child’s experience here just a little bit better. Thank you Vivid!

Social Magnet Productions
Amuse is an annual culinary showcase hosted by Social Magnet. This year they put real emphasis on philanthropy and social responsibility which was reflected in their new tagline: Eat, Drink and be Social-LY RESPONSIBLE! As it turned out, this was a prophetic move for how the rest of the year would unfold and the support we received through Amuse could not have come at a better time.  Thank you for your wonderful support Amuse!

Okanagan Electrical Systems
Okanagan Electrical Systems has been with us from the very beginning. Even in times of COVID, they have gone out of their way to find unique ways to engage with their suppliers and customers to create a way to support kids and mental health in our community. When local companies support local causes, real change is made in the community. Thank you to everyone at OES for your outstanding support!

Laing Roofing
“This is where we live and work, supporting initiatives like the CAC is part of how we help to strengthen our community. Everyone at Laing Roofing is honoured to donate to the CAC.  Having been in the space it is so easy to see how this environment will support kids who have gone through dark times. We are happy to join with other families and organizations who have stepped up to blaze this trail.”

TD Benefits
Tom and Lyndon of TD Benefits have been big supporters of the Child Advocacy Centre from the very beginning and we could not be more grateful. Their recent, generous donation to the CAC, marks just one further step in their commitment to providing help for the most vulnerable children in our community and heling create a better community.

Voyager RV
What would you do to celebrate 35 years in business? If you are Voyager RV, you celebrate by making sure the community thrives for the next 35 years! Voyager spent their milestone year raising more than $100,000 for local charities. The Child Advocacy Centre was one of the Charities the Voyager team selected and we received $14,000 from their commitment and the hard work of their team. You are amazing Voyager RV!

Michaela and Nathanial Prior
Nathanial and Michaela Prior are some very special kids to the CAC! For the past two years they have both made the decision to donate their birthday money to the work that we do to protect children. We are always so inspired by kids who support each other. Thank you, Nathanial and Michaela. We are proud to know you and we are grateful for you!
