The Child & Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC) is a not-for-profit organization designed to accommodate a team of highly-skilled professionals who are empowered to collaborate on cases, take actions that prevent re-victimization, and support the child's long-term well-being, as well as non-offending caregivers. Our goal is to provide a center of leadership, promoting excellence in child abuse services, research, training, and education — a collective community response to protecting children from abuse.

The child featured in this video is an actor, representing the 1 in 3 Canadian children who are significantly impacted by abuse before the age of 15.

In a perfect world, there would be no need for a Child & Youth Advocacy Centre because every child would be safe, loved, and nurtured. Until that time, we are here to ensure that children and youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or emotional harm receive the compassionate and trauma-informed care they deserve.
